Size
Between 15 and 20 cm (6-8 in.), females are smaller.

Shrimpmix.

At least 350 litres (75 gal.).
Habitat
Found in the intermediate zone between rocky and sandy floors.
Breeding
General
Placidochromis electra is a quiet and rather peaceful inhabitant in aquariums. It suits well as company for cichlids which could be a bit timid.
Distribution
Placidochromis electra is found at several locations around the lake. Most of the specimens exported are around Likoma Island. It also occurs between Chiwindi and Lumbaulo, around Mara Point and from Lumnessi to the Malawian border in Moçambique. In Malawi down to Nekete.
