Habitat
Labeotropheus trewavasae is most commonly found in shallow rocky habitat with turbolent water.
Breeding
Easy to breed if there are enough females in the aquarium.
General
Labeotropheus trewavasae needs fresh water with good circulation in the surface. To get successful with this cichlid you got to have filters with high capacitivity and be careful with the waterchanges.
Distribution
It is found all over the Lake Malawi in several different local colourations. The most beautiful variant occurs around Thumbi West Island in Malawi National Park. Because it's no longer legal to collect cichlids in the national park this species is beginning to be rather rare on the market.
